Get set up

  1. Download and run the installer. Tick Install HidHide if it's offered — it stops games seeing your real, drifting controller (restart afterwards).
  2. Connect your controller (USB or Bluetooth) and open DriftLab.
  3. Let go of the sticks. Drag the blue mask over where the red dot drifts, then raise Filter Strength until the blue dot stays centred.
  4. Press Start DriftLab Output and launch your game.
Windows may show a SmartScreen warning. DriftLab is new, so Windows doesn't recognise it yet. Click More info → Run anyway. Windows will also ask for admin permission — DriftLab needs it to install its controller drivers and to hide your real controller from games.
Using Steam? Turn off Steam Input for your controller (Steam → Settings → Controller) so Steam doesn't pass the raw, drifting input to games as well.
